- The wood lattice can be purchased with different profiles e.g. with 25 x 12 mm (width x height). Under normal conditions, beech laths are adequately stable. Massive laminated laths should be chosen if the work load is heavier. The spiked lath profile depends upon the chosen pins.
- The laths are mostly riveted for cost reasons. If heavier work loads are expected or laths with larger cross-sections are used, then the laths should be screwed.
- Depending on the profile we can suggest you the right pin size which we have on stock. We advice choosing galvanized pins when sending spiked lattices overseas or when the lattice pins could be subjected to possible rusting.
- There are two options for the material of the belts. A PVC coated polyester web belt is the primar choice because it is suitable for damp and wet operations. Only for dry operations also polychrome belts can be used.
- It is generally advisable to use a fabric support to keep the belt interior as clean as possible. The fabric is fastened to the underside of the laths using cover strips to stop material building up between the lath and fabric.
- There are different options for endless connections. Endless belt bonding is optimal in terms of durability. Because belt installation is sometimes difficult, the belt can also be supplied unconnected with fastening hooks or a screwed overlapping connection. A hook connection makes installation very easy but is subject to wear which normally makes on overlapping connection the better choice.
